In the United Kingdom, there is a kind of confectionery called seaside rock or, more usually, rock, which is often made and sold at tourist (usually seaside) resorts. Rock is manufactured as tubular sticks, generally about 1/2 inch (12mm) in diameter and 12 inches (300mm) long.
